The Vauban Dam, also known as 'Barrage Vauban', is located in Strasbourg, France. Built in the late 17th century as part of the city's fortifications designed by the famous military engineer Vauban, it originally served as a defensive structure capable of flooding the southern part of the city in the event of an enemy attack. Today, it offers spectacular views over the picturesque Petite France district and the Strasbourg Cathedral from its panoramic terrace.
