Mrs Macquarie's Chair is a sandstone rock cut into the shape of a bench, located on a peninsula in Sydney Harbour. It offers one of the most scenic views of the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge, making it a popular spot for both tourists and locals. The chair was carved by convicts in 1810 for Elizabeth Macquarie, the wife of Major-General Lachlan Macquarie, Governor of New South Wales.
